Hot Cocoa

This hot chocolate is a perfect “fasting snack”; it has healthy fats, flavonoids and antioxidants. It’s also super cozy and satisfying.

If you’re not looking for a keto recipe, this would be delicious made with 1/2-1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup to be a healthy treat with some natural sweet.

Not everyone does well with pure stevia extract or monk fruit powder. Though when pure they are natural products and don’t cause blood sugar spikes, for some people they still trigger sweet/food cravings due to insulin response from sweet taste in the mouth. Please individualize this choice and notice how you feel.

Look for Stevia Extract or Pure Monk Fruit Powder in containers the size of a spice jar. The larger bags often sold in stores are mixed with Erythritol which we recommend you avoid.

Ingredients:

  • 1TBS raw Cocoa Powder

  • 4 drops peppermint extract pure

  • 4 drops stevia extract pure (trader joe’s)

  • ¼ tsp unrefined salt (or 1 serving unflavored electrolyte powder or drops)

  • 1oz Scoop Keto Coconut Creamer or Heavy Cream

  • 8-16oz hot water to your taste

Instructions:

  • Blend together all ingredients with whisk or hand beater

  • Enjoy!

We recommend you always use organic ingredients when available to reduce chemical exposure for your good health.
